Sky Diving The King Of Extreme Sports
Everyone has dreamed of jumping out of an airplane and plunging in a free fall to earth. Whether the idea scares
you to death or exhilarates you beyond your imagination, the extreme sports genre of sky diving is one of the most
exciting sport you will ever do.
Imagine jumping out of a plane and gaining speeds up to one hundred and twenty five miles an hour. You can feel
the wing contorting your face back as you fly toward certain death.
Soon your parachute opens and you can lay back and watch the sweeping vistas below you. It is an experience you
will never forget.
You can take sky diving lessons at most any airport. Any town of good size will have at least one sky diving
school where you can take lessons and begin your extreme sports adventure. The course takes about two days and you
will be able to solo jump from an airplane.
You will learn the basics of how to where your parachute, how to pull the cord, how to use the emergency
parachute, and safety tips of how to pick your landing site and land safely without injury or harm. If you have the
courage you will never forget this extreme sports adventure.
If you are afraid to try the sport solo, you can ride tandem. This means that you will be harnessed on the back
or front of an experienced jumper and will be able to enjoy the ride while the jumper aligns both of you so that
the parachute can open properly. You simply hang on.
The jumper will get you out of the plane and pull the parachute at the appropriate time. When the chute deploys
you can just sit back and watch the ground get closer and closer. The jumper will do the landing for you and even
cushion your fall. If you tandem jump a couple of times, you may want to try to jump by your self.
If you really want to get the extreme sports rush, you might want try sky surfing. It is the same think as sky
diving but when you are in free fall, you have a board bound to your feet. As you fall the board will take the
impact of the air and you can move the board to increase or decrease your speed.
The sky surfer can do aerial tricks like a 360 or a somersault. This is for the very experienced sky diver and
should not be tried until you get quite a few jumps under your belt. When you are experienced enough to try it, get
lessons. Never jump if you do not know what you are doing. Sky surfing is a little different. You have to exit the
plane differently and you also have to position your body so that the board takes the brunt of the wind.
If not experienced you could end up upside down or put your self into a dangerous spin. This is one of the most
dangerous extreme sports and you cause your self serious injury or death if you are not prepared.
